These ambers roughly date to around the Eocene period which is roughly 55 million years old. Baltic ambers are found on the coasts of the Baltic region after a storm has hit and has removed and dislodged them from their encasement deep under the ocean. As such, due to the constant battering against the shores and rocks, these ambers are usually small in size. One that is of such size is quite rare.

Also, only one in 30 ambers found will contain and inclusion. This one contains and inclusion of an Orthoptera or otherwise better known as (the grasshopper family). This piece is imported directly from Lithuania. Also included is a couple of flower petals.

I know that amber is very often faked but the fakes can easily be told apart bia a few tests. Salt water float is the least destructive as is with UV. Acetone test can have effects if it were made of plastic. Note: SPECIMEN HERE HAS UNDERGONE 3 test for genuity. You can rest assured this piece as with all my other amber pieces are 100% geniune Salt water float test (amber floats in salty tap water) Acetone test (no reaction to acetone) Blacklight reflection test (amber becomes translucent when head on UV is shone on it)

■If you are very much interested in other inclusions and would like to take a look at other specimens, message me.■ I have •baltic amber(Eocene 45 to 55 million years old) •dominican amber (25 million years old) •burmese amber(90 to 110 million years old) Inclusions includes but not restricted to
•beetle •gnat •flies •mosquitoes •scorpion •spider •millipede •centipede •tadpole •scale bug •termite •moth •ants Etc
